I am normally not the biggest fan of hotpot but this place was the best hot pot I've ever had. I got a reservation for 2 for a Saturday night. Showed up and quickly got seated. Shout out to our server derek, he was really nice and explained the menu very well. Super attentive and always checked up on the table. We got the gold option and boy it was worth it. All the wagyu and australian meats were super fatty, tender, and overall delicious. Spicy miso was spicier than other places, and sukiyaki was less sweet and had more savory notes (perfectly balanced imo). The interior is super nice and spacious, beautiful decor. The only thing is, I wish they had chili oil but maybe i'll just bring my own next time

My bf was able to snag a reservation and the check-in process was easy. Our server was Derek and he was fantastic. He guided us through the menu, shared his recommendations and was easy to talk to. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly nice, definitely great service across the board. We chose the gold option with the nigiri and tartare as side dish. Both were just okay imo. We chose the sukiyaki and spicy miso broth, both were incredibly flavorful. The hot pot meat was sooo delicious I liked every single one. The quality here is on par with hotpot I've had in Japan. Good amount of extras like free milk tea, unlimited Haagen Dazs ice cream and a sauce bar and side bar. Only thing I wish they had was ramen noodles :( I would definitely come back again!

Ambiance 10/10 Food 9/10 Customer Service 10/10 Value 7/10 Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House is an aesthetically pleasing and flavorful experience that will make your tastebuds sing! This chain is one of the best AYCE shabu shabu joints in the Silicon Valley that I've tried. Upon entering, you are met with a beautiful and illuminated entrance, an extravagant display of dry-aged beef, and a cheerful host. Beyond this, you enter the restaurant which takes on the modern nuances of traditional Japanese architecture with a nod to shoji patterns and the wooden beams characteristic of kenchiku architecture. The ambiance is clean, simplistic, modern and easy to the eye. If you like beef, this is a great place to enjoy it. Here, you can satisfy your tastebuds with a variety of different cuts of Japanese A5 wagyu and Australian wagyu. The meat is thinly sliced, tender and flavorful. I will say, however, that it does not taste like the quality of wagyu I have tried at restaurants that sell expensive cuts and adorn their lobbies with the wagyu certificate. Regardless, the meat is still delicious and worth trying. This is the reason why I ranked the Food category 9 out of 10. We also enjoyed their seafood platter, the content of which was so fresh, as well as their cold dishes and the seasonal vegetable bar. I am mildly amused at the milk tea bar! Our server was Heng, who was spritely in introducing himself. Heng was easy to talk to, and communicated very professionally and clearly - which I appreciated when having to navigate through the menu for the first time. The customer service here is great! They move fast in general to keep up with the overall cadence of the foot traffic. Our empty plates were cleared from our tables posthaste, and staff quickly refilled our broths before I even noticed I would like a refill. Although I will say, when I asked my friendly server, it was interesting to note that he was unable to share where the wagyu ranch was located... he later shared a photo of the certificate - but not clear where that document was actually located in the restaurant. I might come back here for the membership just to get the perks of reduced cost. I do still enjoy it even though I may personally question the wagyu quality. It is still an extremely delicious meal, and will be returning some time soon!

Finally got to try this place out! When it first opened, there would be a 2hr wait on yelp waitlist but this Sunday evening was only a 20 min waitlist and we actually got in much more quickly. This was around 8pm. Once arrived, they greeted us right away and once told name on waitlist we were seated. This is an all you can eat but high quality!! There r 3 tiers u can choose from. We got the lowest and it comes with a seafood platter and unlimited Australian wagyu brisket, wagyu ribeye, and australian wagyu shoulder. There is also unlimited drinks, veggie toppings, rice, beef topper, and sauces!! I really liked the house milk tea but i noticed it can really fill up up, also have calpico and other juices along with all sodas including my bf's fav coke zero. My bf mentioned he didn't love the sauces.. like the sesame sauce wasnt as roasted and i noticed it was very sweet. I really liked the bok choy looking veggie and mushrooms! We had 2 orders 2 each of each meat and it was more than enough for us. I would prob plan and not eat before coming here to eat more loll!! There us also dessert... vanilla hagen daas and black sesame but the black sesame was all out by the time we ate it. Overall the meat quality was really good and i liked our server Brian, he explained all the tiers really well, helped us clear table and make room on our table for more. Would def recommend to check out!!

A must try at least once! The interior is super welcoming and clean. There are drink stations, sauce bar and a veggie and side bar - all included in your meal. We ordered the lowest tier and felt satisfied, but would love to try other tiers next time. As a heads up, Mikiya is not a place you can immediately be seated. Our party of 2 waitlisted at 7:10 and got seated at around 9:30 on a Saturday. Our experience getting checked in was messy. We flagged down staff, but they kept missing us and helping other customers who came after. Ultimately, another staff helped seat us. I took it with a grain of salt, since it was busy. My experience after was fantastic. Our waiter patiently explained the menu and recommended us what to order which was helpful.

Went here for Father's Day, luckily we made a reservation because it was very busy. It was first time coming here and the server Sara was amazingly helpful. We got the gold wagyu set, and it was perfect and the quality of meat was outstanding. All the side dishes and drinks are all self serve including the all you can eat ice cream. I highly recommend this if you are looking for quality meats and seafood hot pot.

Very beautiful ambiance, tucked away with indoor and outdoor seating options that are comfortable and cozy. If you are a meat lover, this is the place for you! 3 different levels of experience all with varied offerings of UNLIMITED wagyu meat in several different cuts. The plating and cuts of meat are all beautiful and so delicious. We got the lowest tier (Silver set) that came with Australian wagyu (if you want Japanese A5, the next tier has you covered). Each set also comes with one specialty dish. I got the wagyu nigiri which was absolutely amazing. The seafood platter was absolutely ridiculous! Abalone, crab, scallops, oysters, shrimp, and fish. It all tasted so fresh and soaked up the broth really nicely.
